Toro 7s Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
The entire Toro series is using the same two main characters, a bull (Toro) and a matador. We even see them in Toro 7s, their latest release, and the only classic slot machine in the series. The background image places the action somewhere in the desert, next to an amusement park. We get a better idea of the location when we see the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, appearing at the top of the 3 reels.
As a classic, Toro 7s doesn’t have too many surprises for us, but some of the symbols do look designed as part of the present theme. I’m talking about the Matador Wild, the Toro wild, and even some of the classics. Those bring us cherries, lemons stabbed with daggers, plums, and three types of 7s (green, blue, red).
Like the other Toro slots we’ve seen so far, this one is also available at ELK Studios casinos. If you haven’t already, and you don’t mind a game with modern features, then I’d recommend you check out the rest of the slots in this collection (Wild Toro 1 & 2, and Book of Toro).
How To Play It
Regardless of how many lines are present, the slots from ELK require the same wagers, between $0.20 and $100.
In exchange, you will get a limited game area, with 3×3 reels and 17 connecting paylines. You can only form winning combinations if the symbols of the same type appear on all three reels, and they are connected horizontally or diagonally.
Matador Wilds are present in the game, and they are both substitutes and triggers for Nudging Respins. The respins continue until the Matador leaves the game area.
As for Toro, that’s a wild as well, but it also applies a multiplier of 5x to its wins. Its appearance also brings Nudging Respins. When both wilds are present, Toro stays in place until Matador leaves the reels, and then he does his respins as well.
Access to free spins can be obtained via the Toro 7s scatter, when you get it three times on the reels. You get the free spins then, and a 5x multiplier applied to all wins.
Lucky Sevens is the name of a feature that can only trigger during free spns, and you need 3 bonus symbols to get inside. To claim some really interesting rewards, even as high as 10,000x, you need to collect 7s on certain reels. You get the green ones on the 1st reel, the blue 7s on the 2nd, and the red ones on the 3rd. As you collect them, you level up on those reels. If you don’t get 7s one round, you use up one of your lives/spins. To get to the top prize, you need 5 matching 7s collected on the right reel.
You don’t get much from the regular spins, with up to 10x the stake paid per line (170x for all lines), even if there are Matador Multiplier Wilds to use. On the other hand, using the Lucky Sevens feature, the player can win 10,000x the stake.
What’s more impressive, is that the big jackpot can be claimed in a medium volatility slot machine, and that’s not something you see often. The downside is the 95% RTP.
Overall, I like what they did with Toro 7s, a slot machine with huge rewards and only a moderate amount of risk. Though the possibility of a top prize exists, getting to it is obviously very difficult, and once you add the 95% RTP as well, it doesn’t look as inviting as it seems at first.
