At first look Giant Gems doesn’t offer anything interesting. There are only 10 active pay lines and the minimum bet to spin the reels is set at a low $0.10.

The maximum bet can go up to $200 per spin for those rich and brave enough to play big. There are a few interesting features in the game which can make long sessions interesting.

 Special Features

Giant Gems is a very simple game if you like to play on a $1 minimum bet. Without any feature you have the standard card symbols and higher paying gem symbols. The pay lines are unique because the symbols pay for at least 3 of a kind combinations regardless of where the winning combination starts.

You can have 3 same symbol on a pay line on the 3 central reels and it still counts as a win. This is very interesting to see when you play for real and you can have a hard time keeping track of the winning combinations. There are no standard bonus, scatter or wild symbols in this game, which is very strange.

We are used to seeing these symbols in order to trigger the game feature, but Giant Gems doesn’t have a classic bonus feature as well. There are no free spins, no cash bonus and the only feature you can use is the Fortunate Spins Feature. Here you have 5 levels with the card symbols and corresponding diamond symbols.

Each level increases your total bet size and removes the card symbol. Instead of the card symbols Gems are added in their place which award bigger payouts. If you play on minimum bet with all Fortunate Spins levels activated the total bet will be $1. This feature also activated the Giant Gem symbols.
