Fire & Steel Online Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
Betsoft is a major developer of slot machines, and a company that’s recognized for the quality of the work they do. Fire & Steel is part of a collection of cinematic quality slot machines from this company, and in its case they made the decision to use a fantasy theme.
The look is a pretty normal one, involving two warriors, a Swordsman and a Shieldmaiden, along with dragons which are shown in the background.
Other symbols shown on the reels will often have something to do with the Middle Ages, since that’s the kind of technology level fantasy stories tend to have. You get goblets, helmets, swords, books and shields among the icons, while the lower paying symbols are showing gemstones of different colors, set in gold borders.
Betsoft is a developer that specializes in cinematic experiences, especially since they started working on their Slot3 series.
Most of the slot machines they release today have entire stories behind them, with the main characters always accompanying you from next to the reels, with a lot of cool features and high end graphics. Fire & Steel and other slots from them, like At The Copa or Alkemors Tower, will be a lot of fun to play.
How To Play It
There is no question from the game when it comes to how many lines should be active, you will always get 20. The bet per line is the one that you can influence, by first choosing the coin value (up to $1) and then selecting between 1 and 5 coins to use for each line. You have a minimum bet of $0.20 and a maximum one of $100.
The lines are the standard ones, but the reels are different than in most slots, showing 3, 4 or 5 symbols, so they’re not all of the same size. The betting options are easy to figure out, as they’re all displayed at the bottom.
The two warriors that you see on the left and right sides of the reels, will be called the Swordsman and the Shieldmaiden. These are also symbols that can appear on the reels, and when they do they will add wild symbols to them.
The Swordsman will release a magical beam that goes vertically, turning either symbols from above or below into wilds. The Shieldmaiden does much of the same thing, but she uses a horizontal beam, instead of a vertical one.
If you get both types of warriors to show up, and the beams that they release intersect, then you will get 10 free spins as a result. The intersecting position is transformed into a locked wild for those spins.
Wild symbols are capable of forming combinations and paying up to 500x, but usually they’re just going to act as replacements for some other symbols.
Winning combinations formed in Fire & Steel will start from either side of the game area, so not just from the left, the way most slots do it.
It’s not the most impressive payout that you’re going to see in a slot machine, but even at 500x (up to $2,500), the game can still reward you well in the long run. It certainly gives you plenty of wilds to make sure that you will get paid often.
Fire & Steel has a fantasy theme that many appreciate these days, plus you will get it in a high end design and with features that are tweaked for this particular game, not just copied from another slot.
