Snakebite Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
Darts isn’t the first word that comes to mind when you hear the title of Play n GO’s latest slot machine, Snakebite. Still, that’s just the kind of theme that was used in its case. This is a branded release, whose main character is a professional Darts player, called Peter Wright, nicknamed Snakebite. The stage at a Darts competition is used behind the reels, and the crowd of fans is at the bottom of the screen as you play.
The initial 5 symbols that you will see, are the Royals between the 10 and A. The three top symbols are showing us Snakebite himself, in portraits colored in purple, green, or red. A fourth portrait, in gold, is going to be used as a feature symbol, along with the W logo (wild) and the Dartboard (scatter).
This is one of Play n GO’s releases. There are many other branded slot machines that they’ve designed over the years, but many of them are music related. The majority of their work is going to rely on more common themes though.
How To Play It
To start spinning the reels, first you need to pick the wager. Your choices range from $0.10 to $100.
In exchange, the game gives you 5 reels and a total of 10 lines. On each line, you can form winning combinations if there are 3+ symbols of the same type, which appear adjacent and left to right.
Trophy symbols, the ones showing the W logo, are going to take on two different roles. They can either pay as scatters (up to 200x the stake for 5 of them), or they can be substitutes that replace any regular symbol.
The Dartboard is going to be the main scatter, and it will be available on the first four reels. The 5th reel is reserved for the Special Peter Snakebite Wright symbol.
Getting the Snake Spins to trigger, requires having 2+ Dartboards on the first four reels, while on the 5th reel there is a symbol with Snakebite. If you have the Dartboards, but Snakebite isn’t there, you get a cash prize instead.
The Snake Spins will consist of 3 spins initially, where you play on 5×5 reels. If you get Peter Pays, Snake Snap, or instant cash prizes, you will also find that the number of spins reset back to 3. Other symbols that could land, are the Golden Darts, used to boost the multiplier, even as high as 10x eventually. From the other symbols that can land, you can get:
- Snake Snap, to duplicate the instant cash prize symbols.
- Peter Pays, to give you access to a feature that boosts the value of all those cash prizes.
For a developer like Play n GO, above average rewards are typical, and I’d say that they’ve managed it with Snakebite as well. 6,000x the stake is the top prize here, and while it might not seem impressive to many, I’d say that it’s a good one for a medium volatility slot.
As usual, Play n GO gives casinos several RTP values, and the highest one is at 96.20%. That one is good, the other RTP settings are much worse, so do check the help files for the RTP value.
Snakebite looks like a pretty good slot machine, particularly if you enjoy a game of darts from time to time, or if you’re a fan of Peter Wright. Most players will find similarly enjoyable slots elsewhere, but they can give this one a chance as well, provided that the RTP is right.
