This is a budget superhero slot machine, or at least that’s how it feels like. It doesn’t have any of the major comic book superhero brands behind it, and the naming of the main characters isn’t helping it much either.

This is a game that comes via Crazy Tooth Studio, but it’s been designed specifically for Microgaming. The giant has been setting up a group of independent studios to create exclusive content for them, and they seem to have reduced their own game creation considerably.

The slots coming from these smaller developers aren’t always great, but often enough they do have a place in Microgaming’s collection.

How To Play It

Your wagers will have to be placed within the range that the game offers, of $0.10 to $10. In exchange, you get all the available ways to win.

5×4 reels is a fairly big game area to play on, particularly if you’re getting 1024 ways to win from them. You create your winning combinations by landing 3 or more symbols of the same type, from left to right. Whatever their position on those reels, these symbols will be able to form winning combinations.

Special Features

The Diamond Wild will be one of the symbols that you will encounter in this game, which will be used when it lands on reels 1 or 5, as a substitute.

The Team-Up is a feature that you can get fairly easy, as all it needs to trigger is for three of the stacked superhero symbols to land fully visible. When they do this, they trigger a Team-Up. It doesn’t matter if it’s three matching superheroes, or if it’s a mix of two or more such symbols.

In Team-Up, you are getting a new game area. You can get prizes and modifiers from the five superheroes, each one with a different reward. The symbols that land will pay you accordingly, and then the feature is over. That’s pretty much it for this feature, just a mix of prizes paid depending on what lands on the reels. It can be highly profitable, but not very exciting.

Team-Up Free Spins will trigger if you get both a minimum of two superheroes stacked on the reels, while on the 5^th reel you get a fully visible bonus symbol. The difference is that you get more rounds here, and there are even more to gain along the way, but otherwise it’s just like the base game Team-Up.

What is truly exciting about this game, is the top payout that it can deliver. With a jackpot of 13,175x the stake potentially coming your way, it can make a few of its players extremely happy, though this kind of reward doesn’t come easily.

For a game like this, it should be mentioned that the volatility is going to be High, which means that there is considerable risk and that your bankroll is much more likely to go down in value, rather than up.

However, there is also a chance that a big win will come your way, and some players like this sort of experience because of the ultimate potential. Long-term, the odds are as good or better than in other slots, even with lower volatility, as the RTP is set to 96.53%.

Summary

Diamond Force gives us a superhero theme, but with an average implementation, so those looking for cool stories will not find anything of the sort here. I’m not a big fan of the game’s features, but I did enjoy the potential of over 13,000x the stake, as well as the high RTP.
