It’s not a hell themed slot machine, at least not exclusively. This is actually a branded game, believe it or not, which is inspired by a British rock band.

As such, besides all the symbols with demon masks, statues, gargoyles and crosses, you also find the image of the lead singer. Royals are also included, a natural choice for most developers these days.

Play n GO, the company that’s releasing Demon, is one of the major developers of the last couple of years. It’s a company that always seems to do well in the slots category, offering high quality graphics, excellent features and top payouts even as high as 10,000x (though 5,000x seems to be the most common high volatility option in their portfolio).

There is a lot to enjoy about their games, but you need to check out the paytable/help section and find out what RTP you’re getting. Though all their slots come with a 96% or higher RTP, the casinos will get the option to lower it to ~94% if they want to.

How To Play It

You get 1 coin for each of the 30 lines that you’re using. You need to decide on a total bet for the round, and the options that you’re choosing from will start from $0.30 and can go as high as $90. This allows you to spend as little as $0.01 per line/coin, or as much as $3. Plenty of options are found between the two extremes.

Despite its features, it’s not that unique of a game, so it should be easy enough to play it. You have 5×3 reels and 30 active lines, so you just need to form the regular winning combinations, left to right and with 3 or more matching symbols.

Special Features

For starters, the wild symbol in Demon is going to have the image of the Baphomet (deity that the Templars were supposedly worshiping, according to the Inquisition). This one you’re going to see only on reel 3, and from there it will be a substitute in all regular combinations.

Wild Masks can appear on the 3rd reel, and when they do, it will take all the Singer symbols found on the reels, and it will transform them into extra wilds.

Reaching the free spins is possible when you have Wild Amulet icons on the 1st and 5th columns, with a Wild mask on reel 3. Either 6 or 11 free spins trigger, depending on the exact position of the Wild Mask (middle of the reel gets you the bigger option). A random multiplier of up to 8x is selected, for each free spin.

In the free spins mode, you can get between 4 and 8 Hell Spins, if the Wild Amulet is on both the 1st and 5th reels in a round. The multiplier from this feature is the same one as in the triggering free spin. If you then get a Wild mask in the middle position on reel 3, then the multiplier doubles, to as much as 16x.

Maximum Payouts

If everything lines up in just the right way, and you get the multipliers from the free spins or Hell Spins to help you out, you could be looking at rewards of up to 2,500x total stake, which is not that much for a game with 10 out of 10 volatility.

Even so, there is a 96.50% Return to Player that has been calculated for Demon, and the game will pay reasonably well long term. It just adds volatility as well, for a chance at its better rewards.

Summary

Demon is a game that has the potential to be fun, and with up to 16x multipliers, it could be exciting as well. I didn’t like that its top payout is at only 2,500x, considering how volatile it is.
