Hero’s Quest Slot Review
Hero’s Quest is a cartoon-style video slot machine game from Bally Wulff. Bally Wulff is not renowned for being one of the major developers of online slots, but this German casino software provider has aimed high with this release.
It has no doubt been designed to tie into the current superhero craze that is going the rounds in the online casino world.
A full complement of heroes is present in the Hero’s Quest slot machine, although don’t let the simple but charming graphics and comical theme fool you. This is still very much a primitive and basic video slot in terms of features. Let’s find out more about it.
How to play
You don’t have a very beautiful wagering menu to deal with in this slot, but that shouldn’t matter too much; the main reason being that the menu bar at least allows you to get down and dirty with your wagers.
Players can opt to play with either 20 or 40 lines in this game, as well as select total bets which range from $0.15 up to $150 with 20 lines, and from $0.30 up to $60 per spin with all 40 lines activated.
Wild symbols: Wild symbols are present in the form of a banner in Hero’s Quest. Wilds can appear stacked on the reels, and that will boost your chances of landing wins with them. Wilds can substitute for all other icons except for scatters.
Scatter symbols: Scatter symbols are there primarily to trigger a free spins bonus round. If players can land 3 or more of the scatter icons in any positions on the screen at the same time, they will win a total of 10 free spins. Scatter icons appear as crystal shields in this slot.
Magic Spins: There is also another way to trigger a free spins bonus round – of sorts. It is known as Magic Spins. If players can land 4 of the same symbols stacked on the first reel of the slot, the feature is activated.
This will see a total of 3 extra spins awarded to players, and any symbols appearing on the reels which appeared stacked on the first reel will be frozen into place for the duration of the bonus.
Players are not going to be remotely impressed with the top prize in this slot. It is fixed at 600 coins in all, and to win it you will need to wager at least $60 a spin.
That’s a short return on wagers. The RTP rate in Hero’s Quest isn’t too shabby at 96.09%, but the overall jackpot itself is shockingly bad, and we’re being kind by saying that.
The premise of the slot is good. Even the graphics are decent. When it comes to special features, wagers, and cash prizes, though, you are going to feel more than a little underwhelmed with what the Hero’s Quest slot has to offer.
There are many more superhero and epic themed slots out there for you to choose from, so you could be forgiven for giving Bally Wulff’s Hero’s Quest a miss.
