Gunslinger Reloaded Online Slot Machine – Free Play & Review
One thing that people usually don’t realise about America is just how vast it is, how long it takes to go from one state to the other, let alone from west coast to east coast.
With such vast distances, towns used to be rather remote and isolated, meaning defence against bandits, criminals and just about everything else usually fell to the locals. And with so many mining towns popping up, it was up to you, the resident sheriff, to bring down the crooks in Gunslinger Reloaded, Play’n’Go’s latest release.
The game has a progressive jackpot, a free spins bonus with doubled wins, and a hunt for three dastardly criminals. Symbols include playing card icons 10, J, Q, K and A as actual playing cards – colour us impressed. Other symbols include a sheriff’s badge, a pretty woman’s picture in a locket, and a bag full of golden ingots.
You know, there’s something to be said about Sweden and great gambling companies, as for some reason, the country just seems to be full of people who know how to make fun slots. Play’n’Go is one of these developers.
Technically, the Swedish company has been around as early as 1997, but it’s always operated as a subsidiary of other prominent software companies until 2005, when Play’n’Go became fully independent, which it still is to this day. The company has always strived for the best quality in their games, and to push innovation forward to create new and great experiences for their players.
The company was recently nominated for Game Developer of the Year and Best Gaming Innovation awards at the upcoming 2018 SBC Awards, with the Best Gaming Innovation being geared towards the company’s musically themed slot House of Doom. We’ll have to wait until December to know if they win, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed.
How to Play it
The title is played on a 5×3 playing field with 25 fixed paylines. As paylines are fixed, gamblers can only increase or decrease their wagers in order to set their bet to their liking. You can bet between $0.25 up to $100 per spin, which is a standard range that will please a large number of gamblers, both penny pinchers, high rollers, and the many players in between those two extremes.
Gunslinger Reloaded has an awesome Autoplay option, as it allows you to set the amount of spins, as well as whether or not Autoplay will stop for any wins, if the jackpot, bonus game and free spins are won, if your balance increases or falls past a certain threshold, or a single win exceeds a certain amount.
The game’s backdrop is set in a stereotypical town that looks like it’s been ripped our straight from a Western movie. The small effect that’s blowing the sand in the background is barely noticeable, but it adds a lot to the immersion, we have to admit.
If you collect all three of the wanted posters adjacent to each other, you get to embark on a outlaw hunt. You can pick between Jesse Picket, Butch Curry and Wild Bill. Each outlaw has a different multiplier – and the higher the multiplier, the higher risk. You go through three chase sequences – shooting bottles thrown at you, then knives, and finally a stick of dynamite. After those three guaranteed wins, you face off in a duel against the enemy, where you have to guess correctly from where he’ll draw his gun so you can stop him. If you succeed, your wins are added up and the multiplier is applied. Otherwise, only the wins are added up, without a multiplier.
Three bottle Scatters activates the free spins. After it’s activated, you click one of the three bottles, which reveals how many free spins you get. You can get between 10 to 25 free spins. All wins during free spins are doubled, and it’s possible to trigger the Outlaws special feature during free spins.
The largest win you can get is the progressive jackpot. To activate it, gamblers have to collect a win for each of the five playing card symbols to trigger the feature. The chances of winning the progressive jackpot increase if your bet is bigger.
All playing card icons have to have a sheriff star on them to count towards completion. The game’s RTP is 96%, which is above average for video slots.
Gunslinger Reloaded could have done the progressive jackpot, used its gorgeous graphics and called it a day. However, with two more special features, added polish, and a unique way of triggering the progressive jackpot, you can tell that Play’n’Go wanted this game to shine bright. It’s certainly done it’s job – if you’re looking for a new game to play, we can easily say this one is worth your time.
