With its roots in Medieval fantasy, 24K Dragon gives us the kind of dragon that is typically associated with treasures. The fact that dragons are guarding treasures of gold and gemstones is something that’s mentioned in many stories, and this Play n GO slot relies on that same idea. I’m not a big fan of the way they chose to design this game, it’s not their best work, and if anything I’d say that it looks dated.

As for the symbols which you will see on the reels, the low ones give you metallic-looking Royals (10 to A), followed by a Lion head, green gemstones, swords buried in gold coins, Silver Dragon on Rubies, and Gold Dragon on Gold Coins. Treasure Chest Wilds and Diamond Scatters are its feature triggers.

24K Dragon comes from a developer that designs and launches dozens of new slot machines each year. In this particular case, it almost looks like it’s too much for their designers, as this game is not a great example of what they usually achieve. Most of their slots look impressive though, features tend to be fun, and payouts are above average, so they’re always worth checking out.

How To Play It

Look at the bottom section, in the middle. The bet values are all present there, for you to choose from. Go from $0.10 to $100, and then click on the green Spin button.

It’s the sort of slot machine where winning combinations are formed anytime you get 3+ matching symbols on consecutive reels, from left to right. It uses 1024 ways to win on 5×4 reels, so the potential to win big is certainly there.

Special Features

With the Treasure Chest’s help, you can form winning combinations which pay more. This symbol, which acts as the wild, opens up to reveal a multiplier of 2x to 4x. Multiply them together via up to three wilds (on reels 2-4), and the boost to wins could reach 64x.

Re-spins trigger whenever a Golden Dragon Head lands in view during regular spins. This re-spin will use the expanded version of the middle three reels.

The second feature symbol in play, the Diamond serves as the scatter in 24K Dragon. Only useful when they land on 3, 4 or 5 reels, this symbol acts as a trigger for 8, 15 or 20 free spins. The feature can retrigger, where 2 to 5 more scatters adds 5 to 20 extra rounds.

While going through the free spins, you can collect Golden Dragon Heads, giving the middle three reels an increase in size, so that you end up with up to 8 rows in total (3 to 15 dragons will get you 1 to 4 extra rows). At most, you could end up with 8192 ways to win, as a result of this expansion.

Maximum Payouts

With incredible top payouts of up to 24,000x the stake, this game does its name justice. Volatility is obviously quite high, but the game can nonetheless do a great job, especially if you find it at a casino where the RTP is at 96.20%. As always, Play n Go allows operators to change it to a lower setting.

Summary

24K Dragon is very well crafted and thought out, I just wish it was also very well designed. It doesn’t have the graphics that you’d want in a modern game, but everything else about it looks great.
