Win triple progressives in Yggdrasil new Empire Fortune slot
To be perfectly fair, Yggdrasil deserves respect and credit. Over the last few years, they have really come on and become something of a household name in the online slot world.
Most of this is down to their willingness to developer top slots with great themes, and original features. Their graphics are also a thing of beauty. Their Empire Fortune slot breaks the mould a little bit, and not always in a good way.
First up, any Yggdrasil slot which features progressive jackpots (and three of them, no less) is always going to be a hit. Yggdrasil doesn’t dabble in the progressive market very often, so the fact that they’ve included triple treats in this game is sensational.
The theme of the slot is one of royal jewellry, though, and its graphics leave you bored. It is all very dull stuff from the usual action-packed and adrenaline pumping Yggdrasil.
What we love
Empire Fortune’s got three progressive jackpots as we’ve already said. Solid Yggdrasil fans are going to adore that about this game, whether the theme is a bit rubbish or not. The three progressives are known as the Golden, Diamond, and Empire progressives, and they do have the potential to be worth life changing sums of cash.
The slot also contains a host of other bonuses and features, including no less than four ways to bag instant win cash prizes worth up to 5,000 coins, a rocket-themed instant win feature, and the customary free spins bonus. There is no shortage of features in Empire Fortune.
What we do not like
We could bang on all night and day about how boring the theme and graphics are in this Yggdrasil slot. However, there is something else which has caught our attention, and we’re certainly less than impressed with it. The progressives.
Whilst we love the fact that Yggdrasil has included three progressive jackpots in the slot; the way you win them is overly harsh and unlikely to happen. Players first need to trigger the bonus round. They must then hope that they have 4 or 5 scatters to activate the various tier structures in the bonus (3 is not enough to land a progressive).
The scatters only get you to prize wheels, where you must then spin to stand a roughly 1 in 5 chance of landing a progressive. It’s tough stuff. Basically, if you want to win the top prize, you need to land 5 scatters and then hope that the wheel spins your way. Very harsh stuff, indeed.
This is a really tough slot to make your mind up on. You can give it a real go if you love progressives, but you’ll scarcely trigger the middle or top tier bonuses, let alone get anywhere near having a sniff of a progressive.
Progressives are all this slot, and without a reasonable chance of bagging one, Empire Fortune is a dreary, dull, and boring themed slot.
