Au Revoir to French Customers
Due to recent legislative changes in France, French clients will no longer be accepted at William Hill, the second largest bookmaker in Britain. William Hill is not the only gambling website to ban French clients after the introduction of France’s new gambling laws.
The ban was announced May 26th by William Hill as it considers whether or not to apply for a French license. They will be considering it’s place in the market and go from there.
In their statement, they said that pulling out of the French market would not have a significant impact on William Hill, as they have been having a successful year.
William Hill is worth an estimated £1.23 billion based on it’s closing share of 176.1 pence per share. The company has declared that should this stay consistent, they do not see why they would not make their full year financial forecasts.
William Hill was founded in 1934, and has become one of the leading gaming and betting companies in the gambling industry. Offering their services online, on the phone, and on the high street, its no wonder William Hill is the first place players go to when it comes to sports betting. William Hill’s gaming website offers many gaming services, such as bingo, casino, poker, and skill games.
