Genting Casino Nottingham Review

Genting Casino in Nottingham Outdoor View

The Genting Casino is one of four casinos in Nottingham and it first opened its doors back in 2007. Fairly small compared to its competition in the city, this casino still does offer a good experience due to its numerous games on offer and its location that is close to many other entertainment options in the city.

The Cornerhouse Leisure Complex on Burton Street is where you will find the Genting Casino in Nottingham and here you will also find numerous bars, restaurants, a cinema, nightclub and even two indoor golf courses.

The Genting Casino is open seven days a week from 2 pm to 5 pm while the live table games will first get underway at 3 pm each day.

The Genting Casino is probably the smallest casino in Nottingham in terms of physical size and this does limit the number of tables and machines that you can enjoy. Despite this, you will find eight classic live gaming tables in total and more than 30 electronic gaming terminals.

American Roulette, Blackjack and 3-Card Poker are your options when it comes to classic table games while you also have a good selection of slot machines and roulette machines to enjoy as well.

  • 4 x American Roulette (50p – £200)
  • 3 x Blackjack (£3 – £500)
  • 1 x Three Card Poker (£3 – £75)
  • 12 x Electronic Roulette Machines
  • 20 x Slot Machines

You might be a little disappointed if poker is the game that you want to enjoy at the Genting Casino in Nottingham. They do not have a dedicated card room and thus usually only run a table or two of cash game poker on Wednesday nights each week. These start at around 7 pm and will require a minimum buy-in of £50 and have blinds of £1/ £1.

You should not worry too much if you are a poker fan however as the Dusk Till Dawn Poker and Casino Club is the largest dedicated poker room in Europe and can be found in Nottingham. Additionally, the Alea Casino has a good-sized poker room as well.

If you have ever visited a Genting Casino in the UK before, you will probably already know that there is a smart casual dress code in place at most of their casinos. This again is the case at their Nottingham venue and this essentially means that you will need to be clean and presentable at a bare minimum.

Stay away from sportswear, football shirts, or soiled clothing and you should not have any issues on being accepted into the casino.

As previously mentioned, the Genting Casino in Nottingham is fairly small so on this occasion, you will not be able to enjoy a dedicated restaurant. That said, they do have a Late Bar which will not only keep you refreshed with your favourite tipple but will also have a menu that includes a variety of snacks and sandwiches that you can enjoy.

That bar is open until 4 am each day and also has a good number of television screens that will be showing all of the latest sporting action.

If you did want a better dining experience, there are a couple of good restaurants in the same Cornerhouse Leisure Complex as the casino.

There is not too much in terms of special events or promotions at the Genting Casino but they do hold regular slots tournaments that could see players land a welcome payout of £50 if they manage to achieve the highest score.

Furthermore, in partnership with Lost City Golf in the Cornerhouse Leisure Complex, Genting Casino offers a package that offers up great value. For just £21.00 per person, not only can you enjoy 18 holes at the indoor gold course but also a drink at the casino, a learn to play session that will teach you the games and even some free bets worth up to £20 in the casino.

Being a member is not a requirement for entry at the Genting Casino in Nottingham but with so many excellent benefits to being a member, it is recommended that you sign up. Free to do, all you need is a photo-ID and a small amount of time and your membership will be processed for you.

Benefits include being able to collect and redeem reward point and be invited to take advantage of special member-only benefits and promotions.

The Cornerhouse Leisure Complex is situated very conveniently for any of you coming in on public transport. Numerous bus routes will stop right outside while you can also use the cities tram networks to get within just a 3-minute walk of the casino.

You have the option of the Crowne Plaza, Roomzzz, Hilton, Premier Inn and the Park Plaza for accommodation nearby to the casino but will also find numerous other alternatives around the city too.

The UK is full of many fascinating cities and Nottingham is certainly no different. Obviously famed for the legend of Robin Hood, there is so much that you can see and do in Nottingham when you are not spending your time in the numerous casinos on offer.

The Cornerhouse Leisure Complex that houses the Genting Casino is a great place to start as there is a cinema, nightclub and plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. You can also enjoy the following as you make your way through the city:

  • Nottingham Castle, Museum & Art Gallery
  • National Justice Museum
  • Nottingham Contemporary
  • Rushcliffe Country Park
  • National Ice Centre

Nottingham might not be able to compete with the likes of London when it comes to the number o casinos that it has but with four in total, there are some great nights and experiences to be had.

The Dusk Till Dawn Poker and Casino is where you will want to go if poker is your thing. As Europes largest dedicated poker room, you can enjoy cash games and tournaments almost daily.

The Alea Casino is the largest of the casinos in the city and is definitely somewhere to check out while even the Grosvenor Casino has its own quirky personality that has proved popular in the city.

Genting might be recognised as one of the biggest names in land-based casinos across the UK but they also offer players the ability to gamble with them online as well. As the Genting Online Casino, players can enjoy a vast catalog of games ranging from slots, to table games and video poker.

Players in the UK can sign up easily and will be able to take advantage of a lucrative welcome package, numerous banking options, and the ability to even place sports bets at the site.

  • Valley of the Gods
  • Golden FishTank
  • Legend of the Golden Monkey
  • Holmes and the Stolen Stones
  • Book of Ra

Live dealer games are also hugely popular and this is easy to see why. Players can enjoy an experience that is as close to going to an actual casino as they will get. Real table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and many more are played in front of a camera and streamed back to your device.

All you have to do is watch the live action, place your bets and hope that luck favours you. Among the games you can enjoy in a live setting at Genting is:

  • Lightning Roulette
  • Super Sic Bo
  • Genting Live Blackjack
  • Live Casino Dragon Tiger
  • Live Caribbean Stud Poker

Genting Casino, Nottingham - Rating

There is little doubt that the Alea Casino is the biggest and best casino in Nottingham and the Dusk Till Dawn is up there with the best poker clubs in the world but the Genting is still able to provide guests with an entertaining night.
Small but offering something a little more personal and located close to restaurants, bars and nightclubs which are right on its doorstep, there is plenty about to help you craft a great night out in Nottingham.

  • Friendly and helpful staff
  • Good atmosphere
  • Good service

  • There is no restaurant
  • A quite small casino
