The Rift has a dark mystical theme which is brought live on the reels by using high level graphic and animations along with a corresponding spine chilling music.
What We love
Except for the great visual effects, the best feature of this game is the bonus round. We love that there are extra wild symbols added on the reels and we love the fact that they turn to sticky wilds even more.
Also getting a bigger number of free spins up to 20 for the maximum number of 5 scatters on the reels, increases your chances of winning big substantially.
What we Do not Like
The first thing we didn’t like is the pay table. The highest paying symbol the Book, including the Wild, have a small 30 x bet payout for 5 of them on a winning pay line.
Even though the number of pay lines is decent and there is a chance to have many 5 of a kind winning combinations we would like to see better paying symbols. Another fact that we don’t like is that the bonus round doesn’t have a multiplier attached.

Even a small wins x 2 multiplier would make this game more interesting to play and would compensate for the weak pay table. Speaking of the bonus round we have to say that getting 4 scatters on the reels at the same time seems like mission impossible.
Worth Playing?
This is a question which is very hard to answer. If you take a look at the overall concept of the game it has the potential to pay big. If you are lucky enough to unlock all the levels in the Rift Seal and have a few free spins left you can easily win 200-300 x bet. But we strongly believe this is only possible if you trigger the bonus round with 4 or 5 scatters.
Somehow staring the bonus with only 10 free spins seems way to little to get to the last level. We triggered maybe 10 bonus rounds but didn’t manage to reach the final level on the Seal with 3 extra wilds on every spin.
The biggest win we had was 110 x bet which seems pretty low considering the number of spins we put into this game. So like in all video slot games you need a lot of luck in order to win big. On the other hand The Rift seems like a decent game for wagering big bonus amounts.
We played around 1,000 spin in total on a high $1 bet and only dropped around $200 in balance. You can try the game for real and see if it will be generous and pay big or just help you out with massive wagers. Either way in the end it all depends on your luck.
