What We Like
DJ Wild is a really well designed slot. It is also quite different, looking. The first thing you will notice after the killer intro sequence, film plays, is that the reels take up all of the screen. ELK gaming are all about the mobile platform. They make games tailored to the capabilities of the mobile platform, designed to overcome their limitations.
Having the reels take up 100% of the screen is a logical design feature, on a small touch screen. It also looks good on the desktop platform and we wonder why, other developers have not attempted it. The slot has captured the essence of EDM night life. The game is predominantly black, and all the additional colours have a strobe light look about them. It is hard to explain just how ELK has pulled this off, but the colour scheme will give you the impression that you are out for a night on the town.

DJ Wild has a Sticky Wild feature. We really like this feature, and a good thing too, as it is the games only extra feature. The DJ Wild symbol activates the Sticky Wild feature. It lands on the reels and expands either vertically or horizontally. There are 6 different DJ Wild symbols themed around visual DJ effects, like strobe lights or confetti.
They all expand, but the picture symbols dictates in which direction, the symbol will expand. When you activate the feature, the music speeds up and the interface gets a bright pink tinge. You are rewarded a repin and additional DJ Wild symbols fly past the reels. You are rewarded respins until a Wild symbol doesn’t land on the reels or you fills the reels with Wilds.
The latter is definitely the more appealing, of the two options. It means the game is essentially handing out a massive win. DJ Wild has automated betting options. There are 5 different programmed strategies that use the outcome of your previous spin, to adjust the bet. This is a nifty feature for all us that religiously change our bets.

The jackpot is won using the DJ Wild Jackpot Symbol. If you land the Jackpot Symbol this wins 50,000 coins. It is won by first filling reels 1,2,4 and 5 with DJ Wilds symbols. There are no DJ Wild symbols on the third reel, and the Jackpot Symbol is only available once all the other reels have a DJ Wild symbol.
We like that wins pay both ways. DJ Wild is a 10 payline game, but because wins play from both ways you will win, lots of little wins.
What we don’t like.
This game does not have many features, aside from the Sticky Wilds. It would be nice had they included some free spins or anything to break up the base game. But there is not much that we can comment on this is a solid game.
Is this game worth playing
This game is a great effort by ELK gaming. They have gone above and beyond to deliver a title that looks and plays greats. There are lots of little wins which keeps the game play interesting.
The betting features are unique and interesting, and we won big when we unlocked the Sticky Wild feature. We recommend this game whole heartedly, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
